LG 42LG3000 AS15 Gamma Control Chip Repair

I thought I would include this repair in our blog as it is a really common fault. As the title suggests this fault condition arrised when a small chip that controls the gamma (or Colour) on the TV fails. As you can see this can result in some spectacularly psychedelic effects on the picture. The model here is a 42LG3000 but this chip is used in many models accross many manufacturers including Samsung and Sony.
