This Amp was being used in a club environment at full capacity so it was bound to go faulty without a proper maintenance schedule. Some of the smaller components on the control side of the amp went out of tolerance due to normal wear & tear. This in turn caused instability in the protect circuits and the powered outputs. Eventually the wrong pulse blew one of the channels and when these things go they go quite spectacularly. All in there was almost 100 components used in the repair, it was effectively a rebuild of on of the output boards. Not only was the amp blown but the speakers also suffered a fatal jolt of electricity. Lack of maintenamnce turned out to be very costly in deed.

In the picture you can see component R16 is obviously gone bad. this is one of the many dozens that was replaced. (PS Every component on the board had to be removed and tested to ensure no others were missed), a pain stacking job!
